Zoltan fodor

Zoltan Fodor discovered the world of dance in 1996, passionately exploring both classical forms and free contemporary movements. He was greatly influenced by teachers Endre Jesenský, Béla Földi, and Raza Hammadi, whom he considers a key event in his life.

His career as a dancer rapidly gained momentum: beginning at the Budapest Dance Theatre, he later joined Ballet Pécs, and by 2001, he had successfully toured Hungary as a guest soloist. His performances quickly expanded throughout Europe, including collaborations with Ballet Jazz Art (France), as well as the Henry Oguike Company and Barebones Company (UK).

Fodor first established himself as a choreographer in 2005, and his debut venue was once again the Budapest Dance Theatre. Today, his productions are presented by leading companies in the country—the Hungarian National Ballet, the Budapest Dance Theatre, MU Terminal, Szeged Contemporary Dance Company, the Hungarian Dance Academy, and the Győr National Ballet. His own company, Inversedance, founded in 2009, has become a true creative testing ground for him. It’s a laboratory where his recognizable signature style is born: sharp, fluid, and deeply personal.
