Dance Open online brochure

Guidebook for XIX festival season

What remains when a festival season comes to an end? Cherishing the reminiscence, celebrating the memory, the Dance Open brochure departs to dozens of bookshelves all over the world. We do our best to enrich it as much as possible: it is not only a nice softbound book with schedule, abstracts and beautiful pictures inside, but a deep reflection on the season philosophy. We charge every page with different points of view on each production, company, lecture or exhibition. We enjoy these moments of first touching the festival brochure with a smell of fresh ink. And we enjoy even more when people in the theatre are looking through the photos, reading and discussing the texts. Yes, there are so many digital thing in our world, but we appreciate that many months later one can open the brochure on a random page and plunge into memories of one April theater night.

More information

We have never published the festival brochure online. But now it’s time to make many things for the first time. On the day we have decided to postpone our XIX season until fall, our brochure was almost ready, and we decided to present it now in April.

Of course, it is a new version: it includes pages about online marathon and special playbill, and few words about our online projects. But first of all, the brochure remains a true guidebook to all XIX season that will be held (we hope very much!) in September-December 2020. It means that now already persons and names of the Dance Open’20 may be introduced. In expectation of the day when we open the first freshly printed version to the hum of voices and so familiar three rings.
