Principal Dancer of The Royal Danish Ballet
His career began very smoothly. Alban Lendorf was born in Copenhagen, trained at the Royal Danish Ballet School, upon graduation joined the corps de ballet at the Royal Danish Ballet, where he was appointed soloist in 2010. Then, thanks to an artistic director of the ballet company – Nikolaj Hübbe, who believed in a talented dancer, a huge progress happened in his life, he was appointed a Principal Dancer.
Alban Lendorf danced leading roles of the company’s repertoire, equally successful in dancing academic roles in ballets by classics of XX century like George Balanchine and Frederick Ashton and in contemporary pieces by Christopher Wheeldon, Alexey Ratmansky, Louise Midjord, Kim Brandstrup and Thomas Lund. At the moment he is a Principal Dancer with the Royal Danish Ballet, and a Guest Artist with the English National Ballet and the Moscow Stanislavsky Ballet Theatre.
