DANCE OPEN in Bratislava

DANCE OPEN presented Open Ballet Gala in Bratislava on 2 March and gathered the best soloists of the world on one stage. The world famous Isabelle Ciaravola and Herve Moreau (Paris Opera), Kristina Kretova (Bolshoi Theatre), Lucia Lacara and Marlon Dino (Bavarian State Ballet), Ekaterina Osmolkina, Yuri Smekalov and Maxim Zyuzin (Mariinsky Theater), Anna Tsygankova and Jozef Varga (Dutch National Theater), Vladimir Malakhov (Staatsballet Berlin), Leonid Sarafanov, Sabina Yapparova and Marat Shemiunov (Mikhailovsky Theater) danced in the Slovak capital for the first time.

«This was the Gala we will remember forever», - wrote the inspired journalists. It’s no surprise: the best classical ballet pieces were performed on the stage of the oldest theater in Slovakia, such as “Romeo and Juliet” by Rudi Van Dantzig, “Le Corsaire” by Marius Petipa, “Swan Lake” by Marius Petipa, “Don Quixote” by Alexander Gorskiy, “The Talisman” by Marius Petipa and many others. Miroslav Lajcak, the Foreign Minister of Slovakia, and Pavel Kusnetsov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Slovakia, were present at the Gala.
