Press-Conference of the organizers of DANCE OPEN festival

The Press-Conference is devoted to presentation of projects "Ballet legends of St.-Petersburg" and the First International ballet Award “DANCE OPEN” within the limits of IX festival of ballet DANCE OPEN, devoted to presentation of projects "Ballet legends of St.-Petersburg" and the First International ballet Award DANCE OPEN within the limits of IX festival of ballet DANCE OPEN will take place on March, 11th at 12.00 in foyer of dress circle of Mikhailovsky theatre.

At Press-Conference scenery of gala concerts "Ballet legends", developed by Vyacheslav Okunev on the basis of archival materials about jubilars - Tatyana Vecheslovoj, Konstantin Sergeeve, Galina Ulanovoj and Vakhtang Chabukiani will be presented. Also the breadboard model of a crystal figurine - a prize which will be handed over to winners of Ceremony of ballet award DANCE OPEN will be presented. DANCE OPEN award is a unique project which will assign to Petersburg glory of the centre of a world festival ballet art.

This year festival DANCE OPEN will pass already in the ninth time, from March, 28th till April, 2nd. Action has globally expanded the frameworks and also has included some versatile events on different platforms of a city: 4 gala-concerts in Mikhailovsky theatre and one on scene of Big Concert Hall "Octyabrsky", in the Ethnography Museum there will pass Ceremony of delivery of ballet Award Dance Open and an exhibition of photos from archive of well-known ballerina Natalia Makarova which becomes the guest of honour of festival. Besides, there will be held professional Conference of heads of world ballet troupes in conference halls of the Emerald hotel:
