Principal Dancer of the Bayerisches Staatsballet of Munich

Born in San Sebastian, Spain and began training in Victor Ullate Dance School, Madrid (1990–1994) and at the same time joined its company. In 1994–1997 she joints the Ballet National of Marseille Roland Petit as Principal Dancer and then in 1997–2002 also as Principal Dancer she joints the San Francisco Ballet. In 2002 she became a Principal Dancer in the Bayerisches Staatsballet of Munich. She won multiple international Ballet Competitions all over the world, she also performed as invited guest, with her participation several ballet films were made.

He was Born in Tirana, Albania. He started his ballet studies in the School of Choreography and Ballet in Tirana (1991–1998).
He followed his studies with David Allen in the Geneva Dance Center in Geneva (1998–2000). In December 2002 he participated in the International Auditions of the Monaco Dance Forum, where he was offered 15 different contracts, by the directors of the best Companies of the world.
He starts his professional carrier in the Vienna Opera Ballet (2001–2002). Following, in 2002 he joins the Ballet of the Opera of Munich, where he is promoted to Soloist in 2005 and to Principal Dancer in 2010.

 


Polina Semionova

Principal Dancer of the Berlin Staatsoper Ballet

Polina Semionova was born in Moscow. She studied at the Bolshoi Ballet School in Moscow. She graduated in 2002 and joined the Berlin Staatsoper Ballet as a principal when she was only 18 years old. She showed her outstanding talent by winning several international ballet competition awards. Prize-winner at international ballet competitions, included Vaganova-prix (St.Petersburg, 2002) and International Ballet Competition (Moscow,2001).
Polina has guested at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Stuttgart Ballet, Tokyo Ballet in Japan, the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, English National Ballet in London, the Zurich Ballet, Mariinsky Ballet and La Scala in Milan in addition to appearances at international galas.

Principal dancer of the Mariinsky Theater

Graduated from the Tbilisi School of Ballet (class of Vakhtang Chabukiani), also trained at the Vaganova Ballet Academy (class Gennady Selyutsky). In 1988 Igor Zelensky joined the Mariinsky Ballet Company (Saint-Petersburg), and three year later was promoted to a soloist.
At different times, Igor Zelensky was a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, the Royal Ballet Covent Garden (London),Deutsche Oper (Berlin), guest principal dancer with the different companies in Milan, Munich, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Boston, San Francisco and Rio de Janeiro. In 2000 he was promoted to a guest principal dancer with the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia (Moscow). From 2001 to 2006 he was Assistant Director of the Athens Opera House and choreographer of five classic ballets.
Being the Mariinsky Theatre principal dancer, in 2006, Igor Zelensky became an artistic director of the ballet company at the Novosibirsk State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet.


Natalia Osipova

Soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia

Born in Moscow.
In 2004 Natalia graduated from the Moscow State Academy of choreography (class of Marina Leonova) and joined the Bolshoi Theatre ballet company (Moscow). Natalia took part in the Bolshoi theatre tours, having performed at the world leading ballet venues.
She won Grand Prix at Prix de Luxembourg International Ballet Competition (2003). In 2007, Osipova was awarded Soul of Dance Prize in the category "Rising Star" from Ballet Magazine.
In 2009, (together with Vyacheslav Lopatin) she was awarded the Special Prize of the Golden Mask jury - for best duet in La Sylphide(2007/8 season).


Ivan Vasiliev

In 2006 graduated from the Belorussian state choreographic college (class of Alexander Kolyadenko).
By the end of 2006 he joined the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia (Moscow) as a soloist dancer. Ivan Vasiliev is a prize winner of various international competitions. In 2007 he received a youth grant of the Triumph Award. In 2008 he received  the“Soul of Dance”  prize (in the category “Rising Star”) from “Ballet” magazine.

Born in Krasnoyarsk. Graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet (class of M. Vasilieva).
Joined the Mariinsky Theatre in 2001.
She took part in the gala concert «Great Ballerinas of the Mariinsky Theatre» in «Stars of White Nights Festival» in 2008 year. Prize-winner at the IX International Ballet Competition in Perm (Gold Medal, 2006).
Recipient of «Ballet» magazine’s Spirit of Dance prize in the category «Rising star» (2006), as well as the «Golden Sofit», St. Petersburg’s (2005, 2006). Has toured with the Mariinsky Theatre to UK, Germany and China.


Vladimir Shklyarov

Born in Leningrad.
Graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet (class of Vitaly Afanaskov) in 2003. Joined the Mariinsky Theatre in the same year. Soloist since 2007. Became a prizewinner at the Vaganova-Prix International Competition (St Petersburg, 2002).
Prizewinner at the XI International Ballet Dancers Competition (Moscow, 2009).Has toured with the Mariinsky Theatre ballet company in Europe, America and China.


Daniil Simkin
Daniil Simkin

Soloist of the American Ballet Theatre

Daniil stepped onto the stage for the first time when he was six years old in Wiesbaden, Germany. He began his training under the direction of his mother, Olga Aleksandrova, in 1997.
In 2006 he joined the ballet company of the Vienna State Opera and since then has performed many roles of classical and contemporary repertoire of the company.
Nowadays Daniil is a soloist at the American Ballet Theatre.


Adiarys Almeida

Principal Dancer of the Cincinnati Ballet and Corella Ballet

Born and raised in Matanzas, Cuba. Ms. Almeida began dancing at age 6 and her professional training include the Vocational Art School «Alfonso Perez Isaac» in Matanzas, Cuba and the National Ballet School in Havana, Cuba. In 2001 she joined the National Ballet of Cuba for two years 2001–2003, under the direction of Alicia Alonso. She participated in the International Ballet Competition of Havana, Cuba, were she received the Silver Medal in 1997 and 1998 and the Gold Medal in 1999 and 2000. She was also the first Cuban female dancer to be a finalist at the USA International Ballet Competition in 2006.


Carla Körbes

Principal Dancer of the Pacific Northwest Ballet

Carla Körbes was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and began her ballet training at five. At the age of 11 she began studying at Ballet Vera Bublitz. In 1999, she was made an apprentice with New York City Ballet. She became a member of the corps de ballet in 2000. She was promoted to soloist in 2005 and later joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as a soloist. In 2006 became a principal dancer.


Herman Cornejo

Principal Dancer of the American Ballet Theatre

Herman Cornejo was born in Mercedes, San Luis province, Argentina, and began his ballet studies at the age of 8 at the Instituto Superior de Arte of Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires. In 1995 when he was 14 he received a scholarship from the School of American Ballet. On his return to Buenos Aires he was invited to join Julio Bocca’s Ballet Argentino. Soon he was promoted to Principal Dancer with Ballet Argentino, alternating with Julio Bocca in all the principal roles of the repertoire during the company's worldwide tours. In 1999 Herman joined American Ballet Theatre, New York, and was appointed Principal Dancer in August 2003.


Joseph Gatti

Born in Warwick, New York and raised in Orlando, Florida. He began dancing at age 10 at the Orlando Ballet School in Florida. In 2003 he was coached by Orlando Molina for the Youth American Grand Prix Ballet Competition in New York where he was awarded the Gold Medal and a Scholarship to the Royal Ballet School in London. Upon graduating he received the 2004 Dame Ruth Railton Award for Excellence in Dance. After attending the 2003 American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive he joined the American Ballet Theatre Studio Company for the 2004–2005 season. In 2005 he became the first American Male Dancer to win the prestigious Gold Medal at the New York International Ballet Competition.


Jurgita Dronina

Principal Dancer of the Royal Swedish Ballet

Born in Russia, graduated at M. K. Ciurlionis art school in Vilnius, Lithuania and also studied in Munich Ballet Academy (under the directorship Konstanze Vernon)
In 2005 Jurgita joined the Royal Swedish Ballet and since then she has interpreted most of classic ballet principal roles. Jurgita has participated in different International Ballet Competitions and has won prizes in senior division.
Has toured with Royal Swedish Ballet in Greece, Switzerland, China.
She also appears as invited guest at different ballet scenes all over the world.


Stephen Hanna

Principal Dancer of the New York City Ballet

Stephen Hanna was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He entered the School of American Ballet, the official school of New York City Ballet, in the fall of 1992. Stephen Hanna became an apprentice with New York City Ballet in 1997, and later that year he joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet. Stephen Hanna was promoted to the rank of soloist in February 2004, and in January 2005, he was promoted to principal dancer.


Yevgenia Obraztsova

Born in Leningrad. In 2002 she graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet (class of M. A. Vasilieva, Honoured Artist, and also of L. N. Sofronova and I. B. Zubkovskaya).
Joined the Mariinsky Ballet Company in 2002. Prize-winner at international ballet competitions, included
Vaganova Prix (St Petersburg, 2002) and Х International Yuri Grigorovich Competition (Moscow, 2005).
Together with the Mariinsky Ballet Company, she has toured to Japan (Tokyo), France, the UK (Royal Opera House, Covent Garden), Germany (Baden-Baden), Austria (Graz), the Netherlands (Amsterdam) and the USA.


Luca Vetere

Soloist of the Royal Swedish Ballet

Was born in 1979 and in 1989 he began his dance’s training with Ada Decarlo in his town, Lecce.
From 1994–1996 he danced in «National Academy of Dance» of Rome. From 1996–1999 – «Maison de la Dance» of Rome under Denys Ganio's direction. He studied contemporary and modern-jazz techniques with Virginie Richard, Mauro Mosconi, Sacha Ramos, perfect his dance with Ivan Tzanov, Luc Bouy, Antony Basile, Rudy Brians, Stefania Di Cosmo, Alessandro Molin, Galina Panova.
In May-June 1999 workshop at the Princess Grace Classical Academy under Marika Besobrasova's direction.


Jordan-Elizabeth Long

She was born in Blacksburg, Virginia, U.S.A., where she began her ballet training locally at the Southwest Virginia Ballet. At age12, she was named an American Ballet Theatre National Training Scholar. She completed her training in Florida under Cuban master teacher Magaly Suarez. At age 17, she made her debut with the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami. She has regularly appeared in galas such as the Miami International Ballet Festival and the Gala de las Estrellas de la Danza Mundial in the Dominican Republic. In 2007, she was a finalist in the International Ballet Competition in Shanghai, China, and in 2009, she was awarded the gold medal at the World Ballet Competition in Orlando, USA.


Miguel Ángel Blanco

Soloist of the Joffrey Ballet, Chicago
First Soloist of the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami

Born in Havana, he began his ballet training in 1991 at the Provincial School of Ballet «Alejo Carpentier» and continued it at the National School of Ballet. When graduating in 2001 he joined the Ballet Nacional de Cuba under the technical and artistic direction of Alicia Alonso. Не has performed in Mexico, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, the United States, The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and the People's Republic of China.
In 2003, he was promoted to the category of First Soloist.
Now, he is one of the most outstanding masculine figures of the youngest generation of dancers of the Cuban school of ballet.


Rupert Pennefather

Rupert was born in Maidenhead and trained with Julie Rose and at the Royal Ballet School. He joined Royal Ballet in 1999, was promoted to First Artist in 2004, to Soloist in September 2005, First Soloist in September 2006 and Principal in September 2008.
