Aim:
The award urged to mark the highest personal achievements of soloists of ballet
– connection of masterly technics and virtuosity without dependence from styles, genres and directions of numbers executed by them. Thanks to participation in work of jury of the most authoritative figures of a world choreography, the Petersburg award should become the independent institute setting a high lath of professionalism to ballet dancers from all continents.
Rewarding of winners:
The crystal remark of a copy of bronze casting from a mould of a foot of great ballerina Anna Pavlovoj will be handed over winners.
The mould has been made in 1913 by sculptor Boris Oskarovichem Fredmanom-Kljuzelem, and the bronze exhibit which has become by a prototype of the award, stored in the St.-Petersburg State Museum of theatrical and musical art.
Crystal remarks are made Open Society «Djatkovsky Crystal». It is a pearl Russian art of glass arts, the oldest and largest enterprise which has kept traditions of skilful masters, embodied in production of magnificent quality from the pure, ideally transparent crystal sparkling by sides processed by hands Russian artists.

Substantive provisions:
The organising committee of the St.-Petersburg International ballet Award «DANCE OPEN» annually puts forward nominees who simultaneously become also participants of gala concert of world stars of ballet «DANCE OPEN». The international jury watches and by ballot solves nominees, who from them and in what nomination will receive the Award or decides not to award to anybody one or more one nomination. Judges have the right to vote in absentia, watching videorecordings of numbers of the participants nominated for reception of the Award.
The same participant cannot receive the Award at once in two and more nominations in one year.
In a case if for the same soloist the identical number of judges the chairman of jury in each similar case has the right to use the additional vote has voted and, thus, to "rock" a bowl of scales in this or that party.
The award in a nomination «Prize of spectator liking» is handed over to the participant of gala concert of world stars of ballet «DANCE OPEN» for which the simple majority of the spectators who were personally present at gala concert, and after its termination, lowered the entrance ticket in an urn with a name of this participant has voted. If to the given participant the International jury awards the Award in other nomination the Award in a nomination «Prize of spectator liking» will be received by the participant of the gala concert who has become by the following on number of spectator voices.

Other provisions:
В Award delivery in 2010 will take place on April, 2nd in the Marble hall of the Museum of Ethnography. Solemn ceremony will begin in 30 minutes after the termination in БКЗ "October" gala concert of world stars of ballet «DANCE OPEN». An input on ceremony – under invitations.
The organising committee plans the organisation the Internet - action translations on the Festival site www.danceopen.com.
Obligatory requirements for nominees:
Granting of videorecording with number in organising committee of the Award till February, 25th, 2010.
Participation in gala concert of stars of world ballet which passes directly ahead of ceremony of delivery of the Award in St.-Petersburg. The actor who has sent videorecording, but not taking part in gala concert of nominees is excluded from number nominated for Award reception.
Granting to organising committee of the Award of a soundtrack of number.
Granting of a photo/video of materials for carrying out of an advertising campaign of gala concert «DANCE OPEN».
Granting to organising committee of the creative biography for the publication in the booklet and on a site «DANCE OPEN».
Participation in the press conference devoted to ceremony of delivery of the Award in St.-Petersburg.
