Margarita Kullik Coach and repetiteur at the Mariinsky Ballet Master classes Dance Open: 2012

Margarita Kulik graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in 1982. Druing her first years in the Academy she studied under professor Irina Trofimova and the last three years under professor Natalya Dudinskaya. Upon her graduation she joined the Kirov Ballet as a principal dancer. In 1983 Ms. Kulik won the First Prize and Gold Medal at the International Ballet Competition in Varna. Ms. Kulik dances the leading roles in the ballets Swan Lake (Odette/Odile), The Nutcracker (Marie), The Sleeping Beauty (Aurora), Don Quixote (Kitri), Le Corsaire (Gulnara), La Fille Mal Gardee (Liza), Les Sylphides, Giselle, Cinderella (title roles) and others. Margarita Kulik has participated in gala performances in Japan, America, Portugal, Spain, South Korea and other countries.

Having graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in 1994, she joined the Mariinsky Theater in 1996 and since has been dancing almost all character parties of the company’s repertory. Among them: Forban Dance, Palestinian Dance (Le Corsaire), Indian Dance (La Bayadère), Hungarian Dance, Neapolitan Dance, Spanish Dance (Swan Lake), Spanish Dance, Trepak, Frau Stahlbaum, Nanny (The Nutcracker), Hungarian Dance, Saracen Dance (Raymonda), Gipsy Dance, Fandango (Don Quixote), Cracovienne, Dance of the Captives, Polish Noblewomen (The Fountain of Bakhchisarai), Nurse, Street Dancer (Pétrouchka), Principal Matchmaker, Fiery Witch (Shurale,) Kubyshka, the Fairy Tramp (Cinderella), Polovtsian Maiden (Polovtsian Dances), Spanish Dance (The Little Humpbacked Horse), Egyptian Girl, Dance of the Etruscans (Spartacus), Tarantella (Ondine) and others. She is well familiar with specificity of choreographic manner of Marius Petipa, Konstantin Sergeyev, Vasily Vainonen, Mihail Chemiakin, Leonid Yakobson, George Balanchine, Alexei Ratmansky, and others. Toured with Mariinsky Ballet in different countries.

Maria Allash

Maria Allash People's Artist of the Russia Master classes Dance Open: 2014

Maria Allash was born in Moscow in 1976. She started her studies at the Moscow Academic Choreography College in 1986. Graduated in 1994 under Sofia Golovkina. She joined the Bolshoi Theatre Ballet Company, where she worked under the guidance of Rimma Karelskaya, attended the master-classes of Marina Semyonova, Svetlana Adyrkhaeva, and now works with Tatiana Golikova. Her perfect physique, noble appearance and good technique ensured that she was immediately given major roles, the 11th Valse in Chopiniana, the Solo in La Sylphide, Dulcinea, The Queen of the Dryads, in Don Quixote, Myrtha in Giselle — and promoted to soloist. Maria Allash goes on numerous tours both at home and abroad, has a wide concert classical, miniature and modern repertoire. In 2012 she was awarded the rank of People's Artist of Russia.

Marina Abdullaeva

Marina Abdullaeva Coach of the Historical Dance Master classes Dance Open: 2012

From 1995 to 1997 Marina Abdullaeva was a teacher at Vaganova Academy. From 1996 to 2008 she taught character dance on the faculty of ballet directing of The Rimsky-Korsakov St.Petersburg State Conservatory. Also at the same period she had dance classes there for singers. Marina Abdullaeva also taught character dance in Hungary at the Academy of dance and music arts.

Vasiliy Medvedev

Vasiliy Medvedev Ballet master Master classes Dance Open: 2012

Graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet (classes of Natalia Dudinskaya, Konstantin Sergeev and Gennady Selutsky). Got his Diploma at the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory (class of Nikita Dolgushin). Vasiliy Medvedev danced leading classic roles in many ballet groups in Russia and abroad. Since 1989 he began his career as a choreographer and at the present time he stages performances in theatres all over the world: Russia, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, USA, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Taiwan, South Korea, South Africa etc. Creator of more than 30 stagings in theatres and on TV, such as Onegin to music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Katya and the Siam Prince (composer Pavel Ovsyannikov), Cinderella (Johann Strauss II), The Lady of the Cammelias (Giuseppe Verdi) etc. Medvedev teaches at the department of the choreography at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet and does scientific researches - including connected to reconstruction of ballets of the past. Since 2001 he became an artistic director of the Dance Open Festival . In 2007 he was elected as a member of the International Dance Council (CID). Honored Artist of Estonia.
