Having graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in 1994, she joined the Mariinsky Theater in 1996 and since has been dancing almost all character parties of the company’s repertory. Among them: Forban Dance, Palestinian Dance (Le Corsaire), Indian Dance (La Bayadère), Hungarian Dance, Neapolitan Dance, Spanish Dance (Swan Lake), Spanish Dance, Trepak, Frau Stahlbaum, Nanny (The Nutcracker), Hungarian Dance, Saracen Dance (Raymonda), Gipsy Dance, Fandango (Don Quixote), Cracovienne, Dance of the Captives, Polish Noblewomen (The Fountain of Bakhchisarai), Nurse, Street Dancer (Pétrouchka), Principal Matchmaker, Fiery Witch (Shurale,) Kubyshka, the Fairy Tramp (Cinderella), Polovtsian Maiden (Polovtsian Dances), Spanish Dance (The Little Humpbacked Horse), Egyptian Girl, Dance of the Etruscans (Spartacus), Tarantella (Ondine) and others.
She is well familiar with specificity of choreographic manner of Marius Petipa, Konstantin Sergeyev, Vasily Vainonen, Mihail Chemiakin, Leonid Yakobson, George Balanchine, Alexei Ratmansky, and others. Toured with Mariinsky Ballet in different countries.

Maria Allash

Maria Allash was born in Moscow in 1976. She started her studies at the Moscow Academic Choreography College in 1986. Graduated in 1994 under Sofia Golovkina. She joined the Bolshoi Theatre Ballet Company, where she worked under the guidance of Rimma Karelskaya, attended the master-classes of Marina Semyonova, Svetlana Adyrkhaeva, and now works with Tatiana Golikova. Her perfect physique, noble appearance and good technique ensured that she was immediately given major roles, the 11th Valse in Chopiniana, the Solo in La Sylphide, Dulcinea, The Queen of the Dryads, in Don Quixote, Myrtha in Giselle — and promoted to soloist. Maria Allash goes on numerous tours both at home and abroad, has a wide concert classical, miniature and modern repertoire. In 2012 she was awarded the rank of People's Artist of Russia.
